The 50mm lens magnifies like a 75mm lens on a 35mm film camera, so it is slightly telephoto.
The ImageAssembler software does have a function where you can shoot some test images and create a custom lens profile for a given lens. Then the software can better fix any distortions that the lens introduces into the Bradhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00040073226429044860noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5951052.post-1143573733252557802006-03-28T15:22:00.000-04:002006-03-28T15:22:00.000-04:00Thanks for sharing what you are using to get these...Thanks for sharing what you are using to get these great results. I am guessing that you are also using an SLR camera with some pretty good optics with minimal distortion. Are you shooting mostly with at larger focal lengths as well? I haven't tried any panorama views yet, but I did try some stitching of images taken at shorter focal lengths. It seems to introduce some distortion (barrel?) atDoughttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17687661443188620716noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5951052.post-1143552135725135902006-03-28T09:22:00.000-04:002006-03-28T09:22:00.000-04:00I think I used a tripod for the "slacbaaitogotomee...I think I used a tripod for the "slacbaaitogotomeer" picture. I have started lugging a tripod around on occasion, in case I want to try shooting a panoramic sequence.

For the "playafranstoslacbaai" and the "Panorama1" images, I just sat the camera on top of the cement survey marker post which is on top of the hill, and panned around to take the pictures.
There is some weirdness in Bradhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00040073226429044860noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5951052.post-1143508505769107122006-03-27T21:15:00.000-04:002006-03-27T21:15:00.000-04:00Those are some very impressive photos.
